True Love Ways

Let me introduce you to my precious friend and sister in Christ, Amparo Nichols. After reading her stories about angels, poetry and other short stories, and seeing her beautiful HY-KOO water color paintings, I decided to do a website so she could share her talents with you.

To understand what I write is to understand that I am a product of humble beginnings, born and raised in the Lone Star State of Texas.

At a young age I read with a hunger for the written word. It was my escape from boredom. I became really involved with the characters in the stories. I wept with them, laughed with them and felt their pain.

My poetry was an accident. Our six grade class was assigned to write a poem, this was vital for a passing grade. I struggled with the idea and drew a complete blank. My teacher kept me after school and suggested I write about a storm. With that in mind I managed to put something together and she was very pleased with the results. So the poetry started. Now as an adult I speak in verse and rhyme, my children can attest to that.

I hope that you enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it for you. Barbara Geib.

My philosophy is: I'd rather have one simple marigold given lovingly then a bouquet of roses in discontment.

In Loving Memory
