Aerith

Nick will tell you that, during WWII he had an enlightening experience. Nick and his unit were set to complete 30 missions over Germany. Things had not been easy, the skies were infiltrated by the enemy and certain danger.

Their direction was set, when after a number of hours in flight there was the thunderous sound of flak all around them. The plane was hit. They were quite shaken, but grateful that there were no casualties. The bad news was that the flak had put one of their engines out of commission. Standard procedure was to abort the mission and return to home base.

While enroute, the plane was spotted by the enemy planes on gound. The enemy waited for their prey... helpless stragglers flying a disabled plane, whose chances were nil.

The Navigator Brownie and Nick were both good Christians. Silently they prayed in their desperate hour. Suddenly there appeared, from the sky above, three Flighters. Only this time they were U.S. P-51's.

Oh what a beautiful sight. They came like Angels to the rescue.. Nick will reiterate... I will never forget it, the Fighters came, like an answer to prayer. Heavens own fleet of Angels.
